On Tuesday 10th November the 5th and 6th Year Leaving Certificate Applied students attended a talk with Gerry Madden from SOLAS .
Gerry spoke to students about Apprenticeships. The talk gave students a clear understanding of what is involved in an apprenticeship. This included the educational qualifications required and the procedure involved. He also explained to students the different stages in the apprenticeship once you become registered with SOLAS the authority who are responsible for funding, planning and co-ordinating training and further education programmes in Ireland.
