On March 13th, Declan Browne a sports psychologist visited our school for our fifth year retreat. In the morning, to get us started, we did a lot of teamwork exercises, which brought us closer together for the rest of the day. Continuing on for the middle of the day, we spent an entire two hours writing positive messages about each other. This was a worthwhile experience as it really boosted everybody’s confidence.
In the afternoon, Declan introduced us to meditation methods to help us relax and unwind from our hectic lives. We spent some time reflecting and listening to Declan telling us some inspirational stories that tugged our heartstrings. In the end, everybody there found the day to be a very positive and beneficial day that we will always remember in years to come.
