Talented Youth
Congratulations to our students who have been offered places on this year's
summer course at the Centre for Talented Youth Ireland {CTYI} at DCU. This is
a youth programme for students between the ages of six and sixteen of high
academic ability in verbal and numerical reasoning.
TY News
T.Y students went to Cork last week to take part in the Young Social Innovation
Project. Their project 'Feed the World – Not the Bin' raised funds for Trócaire
by selling wristbands which they made. They competed with other schools
from the South West Region.
Sports
Our First Year hurlers defeated St.Brogans of Bandon last week, the match
was played in Mallow. The Senior Hurlers had a win against Coláiste Chiaráin
Croom last Friday in the Semi-Final, they now go forward to the County Final
which will be played in Doon where they will meet either Doon or Kilfinane.
The County Limerick VEC Annual Inter-School's Sports Day will be held in UL
next Thursday March 29. We wish Ms Geoghegan and all the competitors the
best of luck.
