On Tuesday 13th October 6C LCVP and the 6th Year Business along with Ms. Bunyan visited Kearney’s Bakery in Ballyhahill, County Limerick. This visit out for LCVP students was very beneficial as it fulfilled some of the specific learning outcomes of the Enterprise Link Module. All students got to experience an enterprise in operation from production to the final selling of goods to customers. They also experienced the various processes and techniques that make this possible.
Afterwards students enjoyed lunch in Newcastlewest and then went to visit the Brothers of Charity in Newcastle West. At the Brothers of Charity students were met by Mr. Mike Sheehan and were given a very informative talk about their work. The students then got a tour of the premises, meeting with personnel and clients. Students then returned to Coláiste na Trócaire. It was a very informative and enjoyable day.
