On Tuesday 13th October 6C LCVP and 6th Year Business along with Ms. Bunyan visited Kearney’s Bakery in Ballyhahill County Limerick. For LCVP students this trip helped fulfil some of the specific learning outcomes of the Enterprise Link Module. For both classes students got to experience an enterprise in operation from production to finally selling goods onto customers and the various processes and techniques that make that possible.
Afterwards students enjoyed some free time in Newcastlewest for lunch before visiting the Brothers of Charity there. At the Brothers of Charity students were met by Mike Sheehan and were given a very informative talk about their work before getting a tour of the premises and meeting with personnel and clients. Students returned to Coláiste na Trócaire afterwards and an enjoyable time was had by all.
