Congratulations to all students and teachers involved in organising many activities in Session1. Work experience took place each Friday. Thanks to all employers for facilitating work experience as it is invaluable to students and also contributes to the students credits.
The highlights of this session is where the students organised a Mini Olympics for first year students and students attend one week at the Limerick College of Further Education to gain college experience and investigate a potential career option of completing a course in college after completing Leaving Certificate Applied.

• 9th December 2014 – Visit to the Local Library to carry out research for projects
• 6th February 2015 – Brenda and Patrice took part in the Second Level Schools’ Light Entertainment Competition which was held in the Briary Gap Theatre, Macroom, County Cork

- 2nd March 2015 – Recorded Interviews for positions in Recycling Enterprise
- 1st May 2015 – Finish Date for Personal Reflection Diary Task
- 18th – 22nd May – Oral Irish Examination
- 22nd May 2015 – All Key Assignments and Tasks must be submitted for Session 2
- 27th April – 1st May 2015 – An interview with an external examiner will take place for:
1. Vocational Preparation Task; The students have set up a Recycling Enterprise
2. Engineering Task; Each student is making an object using welding skills. They will type up report on the same and will be interviewed about the project and report. The students are making a set of fire irons, a metal chair, a coat rack, containers for pots of flowers, a bracket for a hanging basket and a metal chair. - 4th June 2015 Irish Written Examination
