Gerry Duffy author, and motivational speaker will give a talk to Leaving Cert. pupils on Monday Nov 21 this will be followed by a talk at 7.30 p.m on the same evening in the Gym Hall and all are welcome to attend. This promises to be a very worthwhile event as Mr Duffy who is also a qualified fitness instructor and has many sporting accomplishments that many would deem impossible. He firmly believes that human beings can do so much more than we give ourselves credit for and is keen in leading by example. His first book ‘Who Dares, Runs’ went into the Top 4 list of Best Selling Books in Ireland within 6 weeks of its release early in 2011. In the summer of 2010 along with Ken Whitelaw, Gerry ran 32 Marathons in just 32 days and raised over £500,000 for Irish Charities.
