On Friday Sept 6 First Years Banville and Beckett went on Retreat. The theme of the Retreat was a ‘Sense of Place’ which included a walk around Rathkeale conducted by Fr Tim Curtin school Chaplain assisted members of the Religious Department. The students went on a visit to The Church of Ireland, The Palatine Museum, St. Mary’s Church and the Convent of Mercy. They learnt the history of the The Palatines, the Anglican Community and the Sisters of Mercy in Rathkeale and their contribution to the Community over the past 160 years. The students enjoyed a very uplifting and Spiritual day. Classes First Year Binchy and Boland will go on the same Retreat on Friday 13.
