The School has been lucky enough to secure a very substantial grant as part of a pilot scheme run by the Department of Education and Skills (DES) and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). The school has undertaken to embark on an energy awareness programme in return for our inclusion on this pilot scheme.
This grant is worth just under half a million euros and should result in a more comfortable and efficient school. Work in relation to this grant has been put out to tender and must be completed during the summer months. This will result in some disruption to the school. In preparation for the handover of the school to the builders all books, computers, materials etc must be pack away and stored. A date for the final completion of the work has not yet been agreed but will be finalised within the next few weeks.
A further letter will issue to all parents in June with information on School Fees, Book Lists dates for return to school etc.
Some disruption is unavoidable before the end of term, as far as possible exam students will have as little disruption as possible. Below please find details of planned events;
