A group of twenty six T.Y and fifth year pupils have just completed the Camino walk in northern Spain. They were accompanied by our school principal Kevin Cusack, Fr Phonsie Cullinan P.P Rathkeale, Ms Síle Condon T.Y co-ordinator and Ms Maria Geoghegan. They walked the 110 km Portuguese route and this is the first time that a group from the school have undertaken this pilgrimage.
The week long walk to the town of Santiago De Compestello was challenging and extremely difficult at times but very rewarding and on their arrival at the Cathedral of St. James in Santiago Fr. Cullinan celebrated a Mass in thanksgiving. Students have described the event as a memorable experience which will leave a lasting impression on them.
